OHENRY

Waste not!

OHENRY (Chad Villarreal) is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter originally from Southern CA making upbeat eclectic records and a name for himself in Nashville TN.

"Honey, there's only 24 hours in a day" (Honey): "Then I'lle just have to use them all" A sentiment from one of OHENRY's all time loves, sitcom TV, helps describe the idea behind his act. With an early affinity and ability to play most instruments, Ohenry has always had a tough time choosing one, luckily his new show, doesn't force him to. "This set is a roller coaster ride of octopusism," says OHENRY.

Forever the band geek, he earned a degree in jazz & concert percussion early on. His studies introduced him to tons of new people and musical styles pushing him forward fast. After discovering his voice (literally) drumming and singing quickly became a way of life. He sang lead for prog/funk trio Shoppy, co-founded funk/soul quintet SLANG and was the harmony and backbeat for pop folk duo ColeSlaw. All while writing, producing albums and working toward his Culinary degree. After many years of the kitchen and the stage, he learned his 2 loves are like the sun and the moon and chose music.

Time tested, Ohenry emerged an experienced producer and performer. His first full length album "Sugar for Grandad" breaks most rules by not truly having any duplicate styles. He followed it with  "American Cheese" 5 tounge-in-cheek Country/Americana tunes including a Rockabilly cover of Marc Anthony's hit "I need to know." His newest EP "Musings from an Island" is out now and has tons of classic energy and all the diversity you've come to expect. Look for Ohenry opening Festivals across the country, soon.
